Abstract

Remaja yang kelebihan berat badan dengan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) dan persen lemak
tubuh tinggi berisiko menderita sindrom metabolik. Beberapa penelitian melaporkan asupan
air putih berhubungan dengan IMT dan persen lemak tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui hubungan kebiasaan asupan air putih dengan Indeks Massa Tubuh menurut Umur
(IMT/U) dan persen lemak tubuh.
Desain penelitian ini deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Subjek penelitian
berusia 11-15 tahu sejumlah 88 orang menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis
bivariat menggunakan uji spearman (=0,05).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel asupan air putih memiliki nilai median 1000 ml,
IMT/U +0,0001 SD, dan persen lemak tubuh 20,7%. Ada hubungan antara asupan air putih
dengan IMT/U (r=-303, p=0,004) dan persen lemak tubuh (r=-0,419, p=0,0001).
Disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara asupan air putih dengan IMT/U dan persen lemak
tubuh.
